This magazine mopped up the Charles Buchan’s Football Monthly and the Football pictorial and relaunched as “Football” as volume 1 Issue 1 in July 1974.Tony Pullein was main editor but there were places for Pat Collins and Les Yates from Charles Buchan’s Football Monthly. It continued under the name of “Football” for 10 years and then changed to ” New Football ” in November 1983. This magazine continued until November 1997 when it was sold off to Ken Bates at Chelsea. It reappeared published by Chelsea Village Communications in 1998 and stopped finally in January 1999. Ken Bates then sold the rights to Football Monthly Archives who produce electronic reproductions.
